Breaking News

*Disclaimer: This has nothing to do with the election because we're probably all tired out from that.  And though I'm less optimistic this time around, even though my circumstances are many times better than they were four years ago, I don't attribute that to the government, but to hard work, faith, and peaceful assurance that we would be alright despite difficult circumstances.  In any case, life goes on and we bond together as Americans and hopefully heal the divide (and avoid that darned fiscal cliff).

Now that Hylan has let the cat out of the bag (whatdoesthatmean?), it's time to publicly disclose our news.

We're moving.

Due to circumstances beyond our control (and believe me we tried to control them), we are moving from our beloved beautiful townhouse in American Fork where we have lived for the past two years.  But before this starts to sound like a woe-is-me sob story, let me say that this whole experience has turned out to be quite fortuitous!

We're building a house in Saratoga Springs (close to that park that my nieces love and their parents will drive all the way from Santaquin to visit).

The 5 year-old and 7 year-old nieces at the top with their Momma.

So, how can we be mad about that?!  It's a little further out than we want to be, but not too bad, and we've been able to customize the home to suit our tastes.

We've known about this opportunity for almost the same amount of time that we've known about my pregnancy, so lots of changes all at once, but at least we've had time to prepare.

And guess what folks, we're almost there!  We're hoping to move in the weekend before Thanksgiving--so that's like 10 days away.  EEK.  I better get packing.

I'm so proud of Hylan and all the work he has put into the home already.  He has done all of the tile and hardwood floors, as well as helped with the granite.  He's kind of awesome like that.  And I have to admit, I am exceedingly pleased with all of the color/material choices we've made so far.  I definitely wanted our home to feel light, bright, warm, and homey, but also not go crazy spending ridiculous amounts of money just to achieve a certain look.  I think we're accomplishing that and I know we will be very happy and content in our new home.

This will make move number five (in six and a half years) for our family, but this time, we may never have to move again!

Pictures will be forthcoming for those who may be interested.  We're so excited!

Congratulations on your new house! Also, be careful not to overdo yourself...I moved in my 3rd trimester and it was tough watching everyone else do most of the work, but I would get dizzy if I was on my feet for too long.
