Smooth like a baby...

Yay, it's time for a celebration because Hylan shaved! The first thing I did? Yup, I just had to kiss that smooth face. This picture was taken from the top of the Joseph Smith Memorial Building in Salt Lake City, where we had the groom's luncheon for Hylan's brother wedding on Friday, June 27th. What a fun day!

In the spirit of love, meditate on this quote:

He is the half part of a blessed man,
Left to be finished by such as she;
And she a fair divided excellence,
Whose fulness of perfection lies in him.
"King John" (2.1.456-9)

And for no other reason but to answer the never-ending question "what do you do?" I will describe my day thus far. Feel free to skip this section as it may bore you, but because I tend not to share the minuscule details of my life, I might as well take an opportunity.

Today is Monday, June 30. I woke up at 7:30 am to take my sister and her family to the airport, so that they can celebrate Independence Day near the birthplace of independence (Pennsylvania, if you've forgotten my birthplace). From 9:30 am until now, I've been doing laundry. Always a chore! Between loading, unloading and folding--including washing the bedding and remaking the bed, I've also managed to scrub both bathrooms spotless (including tub/shower, toilet, vanity, and floor), vacuum every last inch of carpet, not to mention partake of a healthy fruity breakfast, and protein and veggie packed lunch, quickly check some emails, as well as make and bake a not-so-healthy but yummy-delicious fudgy chocolate chip muffins. Perhaps this will encourage calorie consumption during the breakfast hours for my husband. It is currently 2:00 pm and I still have one last load to fold and put away. I have flowers to feed (fertilize) and water, finish this blog, 5:30 Pilates class, and if time permits, squeeze in a quick--or probably a long--cardio hike up the canyon. I have no plan for dinner yet, but I'm sure I'll come up with something in the remaining time I have, but I can't forget to squeeze a quick scrub in the shower as well as some gospel study, and as always, sort through the mail. Whew. I can't imagine trying to throw in a job or some kids into the mix, but I guess not everyday is Monday, which is my usual get- everything-done-day.

Yup, I have a pretty tough life, don't I? Ha ha! I love it.

Have a great day everyone and don't forget to comment, because I love hearing from my blogging friends! Summer is my favorite time!!!!!!!!!
