Dashed Dreams and a Million Dollar Question

We had so many fun plans this weekend! I was going to visit my buddy Lynn today, then Hylan and I were going up to SLC to eat dinner with Dave & Sarah and attend a concert, and then tomorrow we were headed up to Rexburg, Idaho (my first time ever) to watch Hylan's brother, Hollan play football.

We had fun plans, but alas, Hylan is sick and afflicted. Poor soul is in excruciating back pain (herniated disc) and now has sickness to add on top of that which only exacerbates his already chronic pain.

People ask me all the time what I do all day, well here is the "final answer" (I'll take my million, thank you very much). The biggest thing I'm able to do is just be available and be flexible to help out when needed. For example, yesterday I was able to help out our cousin at her bridal photo shoot. Then I was able to visit a really cool girl in our neighborhood who has culinary skills I want to learn from! Today, I was able to go to the grocery store at a moment's notice to stock up on crackers, gatorade, sprite, and B.R.A.T (bananas, rice, applesauce, toast)-- the best diet for upset stomachs. Not only that, I'm able to do these things with a smile because I'm not so stressed out by other things going on in my life. Hylan has made it possible for me to live like this and I think he benefits most of all! :)

Well, this was kind of an update post, but I do promise to write interesting and funny things on here. Like, did you guys watch "The Biggest Loser" on Wednesday?! Some shady business going on!!

Anyway, I do hope you all try crescent mummy dogs and decorate halloween cupcakes with orange, purple, and green frosting this wonderful, spooky season.

By the way, try the SWISS MERINGUE BUTTERCREAM frosting from marthastewart.com. It's the best recipe ever!

I've gotta admit, I'm a little envious of the way you get to spend your time! It sounds like you are good at being self motivated and productive.
