My Big Fat Summer Family Post

I finally got some of the summer fun that I was looking for when lots of family was in town last week! It was a whirlwind and I loved it. Here are some highlights (please forgive the wacky spacing - I've spent hours trying to fix the codes, etc. and it keeps resorting back to chaos):

Tuesday, August 16

Dinner at PF Chang's with Aunt Nancy and Uncle Mark

Justin Giles and SoulEscape dance concert (my gosh, my cousin is talented!)

Thursday, August 17

Dinner in Santaquin with my sister's family, mom, grandma, and Aunt

Friday, August 18th

Dinner in the park and DanceFest at the Scera Shell with my brother's family of 6 from San Diego, sister and her girls, sister-in-law and her boys, mom & grandma from PA, and Aunt and Uncle from SC. Four numbers with SoulEscape, but the special treat was seeing Justin (and Lindy, his wife) dance because his male dancers had to go home. So perfect! Why don't you perform more?! Martin & Erin with Winston, Lincoln, Belle, and Marie spend the next 3 nights and 4 days at our house

Saturday, August 19th

BBQ up Santaquin canyon with Mandy, Devin, Madeleine, Annie, Brigham, Martin, Erin, Winston, Lincoln, Belle, Marie, Yahnghui, David, Joseph, Mom, Grandma, Emily, and Hylan that got rained out after we all arrived. Moved to a park with a pavilion in Santaquin and then almost got blown away by the wind. The kids played on the playground for hours!

Made Hershey's Perfectly Chocolate Chocolate Cake for Lincoln, Devin, and Grandma's Birthdays

Church with Martin's family, Aunt Nancy & Uncle Mark

Hylan entertains our neighbor and niece

Thanksgiving dinner with everyone mentioned above in Santaquin.

Monday, August 21st

I took the day off and spent it with Martin's family

Dinner with Mandy's family, Martin's family, Mom, Grandma, and Hylan at the Pizza Factory

A gift for those hosts. Thanks for the Costco cash, Chinese pastries, and flowers! Come back any time.

Wednesday, August 23rd

Lunch with Mandy, Mom, Annie, and Brigham at Zupas

By Thursday, everyone was gone. What a fun impromptu trip! Not a single person who travelled here had decided to come more than 2 weeks before they came!

The End.

Sounds like a great way to spend time with family. Especially love that you had an early Thanksgiving dinner. Thanks for linking to my cake. Glad you enjoyed it!
