A Fun Day

Yesterday I got to be on Good Things Utah, a local television talk show. I forgot to bring a camera so I don't have any pictures from the experience, but luckily I have recorded the show. Also, you can go to this link:

Click on one of these videos from 6/4 to see me in action:
  • Joy in the Garden-tools
  • Stomp
  • Percussion Instruments
  • Family First FCU
  • Fortune Cookie
Unfortunately, the most talking I did was at the beginning of the show during table topics, which it doesn't look like they have streamed, but at least you can see a snippet of what I did.

Overall, I had lots of fun and I thought it went very well. Nicea, Angie, and Reagan were very kind and gracious to me. I tried to treat the experience like I truly was the guest, so there were a lot of times that I wanted to say more, but I didn't want to take over their show. I felt like I was completely myself. My one regret was that I didn't promote the granite table we gave away very well. I meant to say more about Terra Bella and at least mention stoneformyhome.com. Oh well. This is the granite supply business Hylan is buying into, so that's why I didn't say it was Hylan's business, because all of the details aren't finalized. Plus, Hylan said that he didn't really want to promote Paragonia, his fabrication company. Anyway, we may go back to the show to give away a huge dining room granite table during sweeps in November, but we'll see. There will have to be more business promotion to give away something on that scale.

So, that's my experience in a nutshell. I was so happy Hylan, Nick & Lynn McKay, and Hylan's mom were able to be live in the studio audience, not to mention the many who watched at home. What a fun day! Thanks for caring.

Here are pictures of the treats I made for the show. Peanut Butter Cup Peanut Butter Cookies are always a hit. The picture of the panda cupcakes was the trial version I made on Sunday. Hylan got mad that I wanted to take his picture eating one. I forgot to take pictures of the cupcakes I actually took to the show, but there is a picture of the undecorated versions with pb cookies that I made on Tuesday.
