Anniversary Weekend

Darn, I wish I would have brought my camera...

Hylan and I got to spend some quality time together this weekend because Sunday, April 13th was our two year anniversary. After babysitting my sweet nieces on Friday, Hylan surprised me by taking me to the fanciest French restaurant in Utah, La Caille. I will spare the details, but the food was so good and so worth the four diamond price. I'm one diamond away from my goal of eating at a five diamond restaurant some day.

After our lovely dinner in the "French Countryside," we traveled to the Anniversary Inn for a stay in the "Treasure Island" room. My favorite part was the huge jacuzzi tub in the center of the room, not to mention the ham and cheese croissant for breakfast.

On Saturday, we trekked back to Orem, went to Costco, picked up Hylan's car, took a lovely walk up Provo Canyon, and capped the night off with our buddies Lynn & Nick making and eating delicious Chicken and Ranch Paninis and playing "Ticket to Ride" (such a fun game!)

I also managed to make these strawberry cupcakes. They turned out pretty good, but the best part are the monstrously large, sweet, and succulent strawberries from Costco.

I can't believe you have been married for two years! Also, I envious of your strawberry cupcakes... I got strawberries at the Costco in Pittsburgh and they weren't too good :( Just more proof the Bishop Warner manages the best Costco in the world!
