This is Hylan looking aloof on his birthday, February 26, 2007
Yesterday I visited my husband's "project" to see what kind of progress he's made on the Draper house. I quickly realized that he's quite the savvy guy when it comes to doing something he's never done before but doing it like he has done it a million times before.
When I saw the finished Brazilian teak six inch hardwood flooring, I was more than impressed. I'd be the first to tell him if it didn't actually look awesome, but oh my gosh, when did he learn how to do all of this? Blue pearl granite flooring in the half bathroom on the main floor...I mean, c'mon. This is only the beginning of something quite incredible. I can't wait to see this house when it's completed.
I could go on bragging about Hylan, but most people know how great he is. Kids love him, youth want to be him, older people can't get enough of him, and I'm the one he can't live without. Last Thursday he came home after a long day of hard work (around 10 pm) with a dozen roses and a "shining star" stuffed tiger (it had a tag on it telling you how to name your own star), after I had spent the entire evening babysitting sweet Madeleine (2) and Annie (10 months).
I couldn't have married anyone more perfect for me.

That's really cute. Nice to know they're still sweet even after you marry them!
